I liked the location, it was very close to the beach (only 3 min walking). Every thing was clean and the breakfast was good. Mr. Ashraf is a helpful descent man who responds to our all requests. They allowed us to keep our luggage for hours after checkout. We felt safe and comfort. It is a highly recommended place.

Perfect location on the Mediterranean waterfront yet conveniently in the heart of the city. The friendly and helpful host family have owned the hotel for many years. and we enjoyed its historic, although fading, charms. Our little balcony overlooked the sea with grand views of the coast line.

The place is in downtown, close to the libary of Alexandia. we had a peaceful night with my partner there and being hungry in a late hour, there were many places open there to offer fast food in the street.
We checked in late but it was not a problem at the reception. Our check in was easy.

Crazy traffic and noise, dangerous to walk as a pedestrian since there are almost no traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. Uber taxis are very cheap, but most of them drive like crazy and don't have functional seatbelts at the back seats. We found the best food and view at the Greek Club, and amazing croissants at the Croissant D'Alexis! Montazah park is beautiful and offers some fantastic views away from the traffic and the noise.

Visiting town centre, with its many suks, was one of the highlights. Major sights like the Library are well known. Less so the newly renovated Greek and Roman Art Museum. Our guide didn't intend to take us there but we insisted and were very pleased that we did as it is one of the most important museums in Egypt.

Everything is great there, whatever historical places or nature or atmosphere in the downtown in the night.

There is no place to take a pleasant walk in the city or spend time except the museum and library. It is a very ruined, chaotic, noisy, dirty city with terrible traffic, so walking or hanging around is not only unpleasant but also tiring. However, its library and Greco-Roman Museum are incredibly impressive. Other museums are very ordinary. Seafood dishes are very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Therefore, I think 2 days are enough to visit this city; You can spend a lot of time in the library and the museum, take a coffee break in a cafe (the number of stylish ones is almost nonexistent), take a short city walk and see what looks like it and gain insight about the city and have a seafood dinner in the evening and continue on your way.

was a lovely hotel, staff all friendly, my only complaint is that everywhere you went you could smell cigarette smoke, people smoked in the lobby, and the corridors the rooms, even though my room was clearly labeled no smoking everything stunk of cigarette smoke including fresh bedding and towels. this for a smoker would be not noticed, but if like me and my daughters (all nonsmokers) it was enough to put a black cloud over the whole holiday .

I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria.
I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria. It is a big, bustling city, and parts of it are very dirty. However, there are so many interesting things to see, and it is pretty easy to get around, I used Uber. It’s a very interesting city, and I recommend giving it at least a few days.
I want to thank the Hotel Manager for his utmost care and his professional fast customer care. I had a problem with the room. I was given a different room than booked at first. I complained about it and he handled my request very fast and professionally. I switched rooms and I received a polite explanation for the situation. I recommend the hotel. The staff is friendly, location is very good, value for money is also on point. I would come again when I visit Alexanderia for a quick stay. The city is also interesting!
I have been traveling worldwide and residing in so many different hotels. The Sunrise Hotel located in the heart of Alexandria city, Egypt, is no doubt an outstanding facility. Not only because of its centrality in Alexandria, but mainly because of the superb and cordial attitude of its well trained staff. Having breakfast in the early morning in the terrace of the hotel's restaurant was a major source of delight and pleasure. All in all, this hotel is worth booking and visiting again and again.
I have visited many countries and some of them are Germany , UK, USA, Singapore, Bhutan, Czech Republic,Kuwait, Qatar , Saudi Arabia , UAE and the last as of now is Egypt. I definitely need to appreciate the welcoming courtesy of Egyptian people which I have never seen anywhere. Mr.Amr is a gem in your hotel and each and every moment he helped us with a smile during our meeting . He definitely deserves an award for this service. Keep up the good work Steinberger
My stay was one of the best between all hotels in Egypt also other countries!
Starting from security, concierge and Reception also Room service!
They made every one like he's the only guest!
Thanks Mr/Ayman for the best complement ,also Mrs/Amna, Mrs/Room services manager and every one!
I found little trouble in the reservation, because of my mistake, but they solved the best!
If you would like to see the hospitality, that hotel is your stay in Alexab
Clean. Great views. Close to corniche. Fantastic apartment. But be aware that you may be immersed in an Egyptian neighborhood: parts of street not paved and filled with trash, no elevator door, no electricity 7-8pm (don’t use elevator this time), walking distance to downtown but a long walk (we used Uber often to get around). Friendly people in building and neighborhood, I felt safe there. Host and his staff were helpful and easy to communicate.
Everything was perfect. I’ve been to a lot of accommodations in Egypt and this one was the most prepared one and extremely clean, the floors were literally shining when I arrived. The kitchen is good and has everything you need. The apartment is quiet since it is a side street but next to the tram station, Khaled Ibn elWalid (big street with a lot of shops) and less than a 10min walk to the corniche. I’d 100% recommend
All staff were kind and professional. We were first greeted by a lady named Tanya who kindly showed us around. Everything was really lovely. The feel of the hotel and its decoration was lovely.
Staff were not "demanding" or expecting tips unlike what unfortunately is experienced in most places in Egypt. This encouraged us to tip even more!
Thank you
Very nice spacious room, with modern facility including fridge, air con & tea kettle. Friendly & responsive staff. Typical Egyptian breakfast was prepared for us which was delicious & sufficient. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Loved the location near market & shops. Quiet room. Very thankful to the staff for their hospitality.
Dina is the nicest person in Alexandria! She was so welcoming! Communication was smooth. It's a room in a spacious Egyptian apartment with nice furniture, peace and quiet. Only several minutes from the centre by Uber. Dina prepares a delicious breakfast on request which you need to have a spare stomach for. I couldn't recommend more!
Best nights sleep I’ve had since being in Egypt - bed very comfortable and little outside noise. The apartment was clean and as a solo traveler it was great to escape to from a hotel room with the extra space. Everything worked perfectly including the washing machine and Netflix. Definitely recommend
Best hotel we stayed in Egypt. A literal palace with a vintage vibe and aristocratic decorations. The rooftop view is simply impeccable. The breakfast delicious with various options. The staff is very professional and helpful. The room will make you feel like a lord. We totally recommend it.
I was transported back to the era of ancient Egyptian royalty at this elegant hotel. The elevator was particularly enchanting, and the sea view from my balcony took my breath away. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
It’s a grand old building, all original, with spectacular views of the sea.
The staff- typical Egyptian kindness, hospitality and friendliness. Hamdi was very helpful.
Excellent value and great location.
Stayed here again on my last day in Egypt, and can only confirm what I said in previous review. The property is clean, quiet, and I can't thank enough to the owner Ahmed for all his help.
