On our touring trip we stayed in 6 different hotels, the breakfast and ambiance of this hotel was by far the best.. I would highly recommend you book a stay with Luca ..
The owner (Luca) drove us up to the town, making two trips (as 7 in our group) and came back after dinner for us.. He refused payment..amazing service 😀

The hotel is right in the centre of the town near to the sights and restaurants. But be aware it is on a steep hill. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection for breakfast. We had a junior suite with a good sized bathroom with shower and with a small balcony which offered a lovely view across the roof tops.
This family-run hotel is surrounded by the hills of the Tuscany region. Just a 10-minute drive from Volterra city centre, the hotel offers an outdoor terrace and extensive gardens.

The villa was a wonderful place to stay!
The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

not the most interesting of fortified hill top towns, but nice enough. Not an awful lot too see apart from the stunning views and the inevitable torture museum which we came across in three other locations

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

This hotel is located in the beautiful historic center of Volterra within walking distance of everything you might want to see or do. The English-speaking staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was quite small, but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really good with a wide variety of good quality choices.
This was the perfect place for our experience in Volterra. In the middle of everything with easy access to all of the main core and the many attractions and experiences. The place was great, with a fantastic terrace to relax on and listen to the vibes and sounds of a very exciting town. This was a fantastic experience
Very welcoming and informative host, who truly cared.
Breakfast was exceptional, easily the best on our tour of Tuscany.
The hotel is very well located to explore much of Tuscany.
Room very comfortable with incredible attention to detail. Also very quiet which we appreciated.
Highly recommended.
Excellent hotel in the heart of beautiful Volterra. We were warmly welcomed & advised on local events. Peaceful room exceeded our expectations & the roof top garden was a definite bonus to watch the fireworks on the night of our stay!
Great place. Great owners & great breakfast. Thank you.
Amazing quiet place - 15th century monastery, very beautiful and unusual for staying, very historical atmosphere.
Room is cozy, clean, renovated bathroom.
Good working A/C.
Historical center is in walking distance.
The road to Volterra represents the best views of real rural Tuscan.
The hotel is located close to the town center in easy walking distance to museums, restaurants, and sights. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Convenient overnight parking is just a block or two away. Our room was quite large and comfortable. Good breakfast.
A great place to stay with a very friendly host! Right by the Volterra, but still slightly away so you can enjoy some time away from the tourist attraction. A shared kitchen and living room are nice, so you can make your own breakfast in lovely surroundings.
Parking spot at the hotel and near the city. Good location to visit Volterra. Friendly host at the check-in. Breakfast was served in one of the bars in town instead of at the location. We had a great view over the Tuscan landscape from that bar!
Beautifully quaint hotel, located in the Volterra countryside. The staff extends themselves above and beyond...
And the rooms/facilities are impeccably clean.
Within walking distance of Volterra historic city.N
The hotel clean, quiet, and had beautiful views. It also had a very nice breakfast. It was convenient to restaurants and within walking distance to the old city center. We loved our stay.
Even though we had booked and paid for 2 nights, we only stayed for 1 night as the temperatures in Italy were very high and we decided to drive home to The Netherlands asap.
Cannot say enough good things about this large, tastefully decorated, centrally located (a short 2 minute walk) next to everything you would want to see in Volterra,
