The beach was great and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. There is a bus from the beach area to the central square but then you have to walk a short way to the train station. Having a train from the beach to the train station would be excellent.

As a golfer this is the perfect spot.
As a golfer this is the perfect spot. Many many quality options with 20-30 minutes. I still think it's the best location when traveling with a family. The beach is awesome and the food choices are excellent. Great access to sea tours and water taxi to Ferragudo from the marina. There's so much to do. There are few places directly from the city center where you can find yourself so close to the incredible power of nature. The combination of a big city and beautiful natural beaches. Amazing, quiet town with lots of small beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches for me ever. Easily accessible by train, bus, car, taxi, Uber, or boat. About 2 hours from Faro airport. by car. There is everywhere to roam. If you see everything in the city, you don't have to run far to other big cities, but just move to the suburbs, in the east or west by the ocean. You will also be charmed and surprised by their natural scenery.

One of the managers noticed our family admiring the old pictures of the hotel near the stairs and walked up to us to explain us the history of the hotel. On the day of check out, not only we were able to store our luggage but also use the hotel shower and towels after spending the day at beach before heading out to the airport. It was near the beach (the beach super lovely, huge), the bed and bathroom were clean. The price for this hotel was very cheap. Huge plus for a breakfast in the morning. It is very affordable hotel - when you don’t want to spend a lot of money but still want to be near the beach and have clean room and free breakfast.
