One of the most beautiful properties I've ever stayed at. You get a sweeping view of Hanalei Bay from the entire main floor of the hotel, including the restaurant and infinity pool. The staff members were all very friendly and attentive to any requests, and the rooms were totally comfortable and modern. The gym was incredible, and there are a bunch of free classes that we took advantage of and really enjoyed.
And if you're a plant lover like me, I have certainly never seen anywhere as nicely landscaped as this hotel, both inside and out. The entire feel of the place was magical.

Fantastic location right on the beach. Super clean, friendly staff, beautiful landscaping and cutely decorated rooms. Free valet & bike use. Easy checkin and checkout. Recently renovated that is still ongoing but reconstruction was very quiet. Beds were extra firm but not uncomfortable. Princeville is a quiet town and takes a while to get to from many of the island attractions like the canyon, airport, and boat tours. So plan accordingly if you have plans on that side of the island.

Princeville as an area of Kauai is great.
Princeville as an area of Kauai is great. But your facility, not so great! We went to another hotel for our last 3 days of our 7 days in Kauai because of the reviews we read online prior to our purchase, because of the reviews we read before we booked with you. we wanted the view of Hanalei Bay/Bali Hai. It was poor at best. If your explanation of the property, logistics, and other buildings had very good views I'd have chosen those. I asked the hosts there if I could book directly with them so I could choose the building and orientation I wanted and they said no. Unless I could do that with VACASA I wouldn't come back.

The only problem with Princeville was the Booking.com description of the room. Booking.com did not allow pictures of the pool or landscape outside the complex and did not disclose the loft situation inside the condo. The Host was great and they tried to make the condo very nice but the location of the condo and the state of the condo was overly disappointing. We stay in Princeville all the time the area was not the disappointment it was the condition of the building, the workers putting on a new roof, no privacy to sit outside,
we love Tunnels Beach
Anini Beach, the beauty of the North Shore.

We had to drive to the beaches. Traffic was heavy by the condo, even at night. The sofa bed was horrible and should be replaced. Just not a great place to stay, and after not being able to get in, let alone earlier than 4, it was a disappointment.

Princeville is a resort community and is conceived as an earthly paradise. In some ways it is almost too perfect. If you are a golfer this must be heaven. The town is punctuated by rolling greenery and idyllic landscapes. My only criticism is that all commercial services require a car ride to obtain anything but it remains stunning for the eyes.
Princeville itself is beautiful but overcrowded. However the location of Makai Resort didn’t feel congested and offered beautiful views of Hanalei mountains. We booked a 2 bedroom cottage and felt it was more than enough room for the 5 of us. Very spacious and a lot of windows with cool breeze circulating through the cottage. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was helpful from the start to checkout, mahalo to the local staff there.
The condo was comfortable, welcoming and cozy. It is nicely decorated, beach themed. The living space and kitchen are accommodating for a family of 5, the kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals. The beds were comfortable, including the air mattress. We loved our stay and appreciated being well located, 10 min drive from Hanalei Bay, and great short hikes to splendid beaches.
Great location!!! The condo is set up to be very comfortable for traveling with 3 little kids, with a fully equipped kitchen (thoughtfully curated to house just the necessities), washer / dryer, beach toys etc. Host is extremely prompt with communication and suggestions. Parking is easy and neighborhood is quiet. We loved the condo as our cozy home base during our week in Kauai.
This condo was gorgeous! The photos really don’t do it Justice. It was so well appointed w furniture and furnishings. Awesome huge walk in shower. Great beds. Stunning ocean view and sunsets. Steps to the pool. In a beautiful part of Princeville. This place was just absolutely top notch! Very quite and exclusive area. The pool over looking the ocean was so beautiful.
Very impressed with landscaping and facilities, although disappointed that the time to rent sport equipment starts at 9am, especially because we were there for 1 day and checkout is at 10. I would have loved to use the basketball court or putting greens at 7 or 8 am. Also loved how spacious the unit was, the proximity to the view of the ocean and Hanalei.
This apartment was very clean, well equipped and spacious. There was even a large washing machine / tumble dryer in the bathroom but did not encroach on your space. It has a stunning view and was set in an oasis of greenery and flowers and there was also a private swimming pool in the grounds. A lovely place to stay.
The ocean front view is perfect. The place itself is stocked with everything you could think of. The beach is worth the small hike. Princeville is so beautiful and fun. I wish we could have stayed here longer. Will definitely try to get D4 next time we visit
wow!! the best stay we have in Hawaii.
very big apartments with a full kitchen and big bedrooms, and the bathroom was the highlight of the room!
the pools are big and nice, the staff is friendly and the location is great.
very recommended!
It was quiet, room was clean and spacious with a spa tub & separate toilet, adequate kitchenette and a small balcony to watch the sunset. The pool was nice although we didn’t use it. The Princeville shopping plaza was walking distance away.
The location was amazing. Just a 10-minute walk to a pretty private beach (shared with 1 Hotel). The pool area was very nice also with plenty of space and nice spa.
Lovely ocean view, beautiful sea breeze every day. Really spacious apartment, right next to the pool. We really enjoyed our stay here and would have stayed longer!
