They upgraded us to a lake view room. It was amazing. Beautifully designed hotel, lovely artwork and friendly staff. Bedroom was very large and super comfy beds. We had a fireplace and large bath. Food at Brooks Bar was amazing and we loved the whole ambience of the entire hotel. Good location on edge of the main area in south lake tahoe.

Clean, reasonably quiet for an apartment building, well-supplied kitchen (pots, cutlery, crockery, coffee maker), the receptionist was happy for us to leave the key card at the unit and the cleaners took care of the trash bag for us (instead of pointing us to the trash containers).
Featuring an indoor swimming pool and a fine dining restaurant, this Stateline, Nevada resort is home to the Bally's Lake Tahoe Theater. The Lake Tahoe shore is 10 minutes’ walk away.

I wasn't here during the ski season but it's a fantastic location none the less. The casinos were lots of fun and there were options for everyone. The scenery and surrounding area of Lake Tahoe is phenomenal and a bucket list place to visit. Plenty of walking and cycling trails around here too. You can also swim in the lake.

The ambiance of the outdoors, lake etc. is as good as always. We ate breakfast at the Red Hut Cafe and the Driftwood-- both were good. Red Hut has been there since dirt, so to speak and could use some sprucing up but we were there for the food and it didn't disappoint. We also really liked the Driftwood Cafe. I would recommend reservations for both.
We ate dinner at the Chart House on Kingsbury Grade. It was Very Good -- view, service and food. Again, reservations would be recommended. We kind of lucked out getting there early on a Sunday night.
What is really lacking at Stateline is the old pizzazz of marquees lit up with the names of top stars, people more dressed up to attend those shows etc. If that is what you are expecting, then you will be disappointed. If you are here to just enjoy the outdoors, skiing, camping, hiking etc. -- nothing there has changed -- you will enjoy your stay.

Everything else about the area is fantastic, but I can’t get over the disappointment that I didn’t get what I booked, I feel incredibly disappointed and let down by Hard Rock Hotel and especially booking.com

I was disgusted that there was no handicapped parking close to the check in desks. They charged $15 a day for parking.
But mostly the hotel/casino did not cater for handicapped quests, like myself.
To reach the elevator from the check-in desk was a steep climb, almost the height of a whole floor. I witnessed one poor man trying to come down in a wheelchair & he almost toppled over. Another guest helped him stay upright. There are steps everywhere that are impossible to maneuver so getting around is very limited.
I will never stay there again.

Stateline is Southlake Tahoe.
Stateline is Southlake Tahoe. There is a line through town on the NV side has the casino hotels. It's still a block from the gondola. So, ya I like the combined Stateline/SLT area very much. Lots to do, and it's a real city.

The office was nice, but you had to walk up a steep hill.
The office was nice, but you had to walk up a steep hill. This was not a problem as they have locations all through the resort to catch a ride on a shuttle bus. The drivers were very friendly. Also Bally's offers a free shuttle service to the casino. Our temperature was not in our control. After the first two days we found a window that we could open to make the temp to our liking. The television and internet did not work the last day. I admit that I did not inform them of the problem. I was so happy to be with my wife .
The cottage was adorable, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect as we walked downtown to everything we needed to visit. And Debby in the office was as nice as they come. So accommodating and willing to do anything for us. She even mailed us back some clothes we had forgotten in the dresser! We traveled with our 2 dogs and Debby made sure to give us a cottage with a fenced in patio for them. It was perfect. If you visit South Lake Tahoe and don’t stay at Doc’s Cottages you’re missing out!
The balcony rooms with a view were incredible, it was everything we had hoped for. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but we were not told that we needed to request cleaning 24hours in advance. The hotel/ casino had all we needed and staff were friendly and helpful. we had read previous reviews which honestly were quite negative. The hotel is a little tired in places, but on the whole we had an amazing experience in a hotel that provided us all we wanted….
Nicely clean , customer service is awesome , Kathie. She is from Republica Dominicana was very helpful smiling with lots of knowledge, she knows what to do as customer service representative 😃👍🏼…
When we check out also , sorry I can not remember her name , I was afraid with my headaches due to the altitude, both were very affected other that that is beautiful hotel to stay , restaurants too.
- spacious, clean and cozy cabin with everything you need
- well equipped and big kitchen
- perfect for 2 people; we stayed 3 nights but would have felt comfortable for way longer
- Nice location outside of South Lake Tahoe so that you can escape the busy madness there but at the same time it‘s only a 10 minute drive to reach all shops etc
- lots of trails around or within short driving range
Even though because of the smoke we couldn’t enjoy our stay in Tahoe and had to leave early but this Property is beautiful, comfortable and everything updated ... perfect
Our host George was great in communicating and making sure everything was taken care of.
We WILL definitely go back and stay there when the weather gets better
This is always my go-to for the most comfortable stay I can get in Lake Tahoe. Excellent WiFi, beautiful furniture, independent room thermostats (unlike Hard rock hotel next door) and wonderfully furnished bathrooms. In addition, there is ample, easily accessible parking facilities - covered if you need it in winter.
The hotel location is fantastic; the view of the lake and mountains and snow is so amazing. I loved my room view, and it's the peace of heaven. So please don't waste your time and book non lake view! Also, the food at their restaurant is delicious.
I have already recommended the hotel to all the people I know!
Everything went very well. I'm not sure why some people have negative ratings for this hotel; it's a good place to stay, close to the main village, and had a king-size bed that I chose after looking at the photographs before making my reservation. The staff was also very helpful and kind.
The American restaurant had yummy food, rooms were roomy and big. Furniture outdated. View from our room was nice! The casino wasn’t super big but nice. The hotel staff was ok, lenoy was exceptional at front desk upon check in. Over all would stay again.
Pool was closed for cleaning. After Booking.com charge me for resort fees the hotel charged me again. Called and spoke with management they gave me attitude and said I did not pay that already and booking. Com didn’t charge me.
We love the location, being right next to downtown South Lake Tahoe. The Staff was so friendly and helpful! The room was huge and had all the amenities we could ask for and more. Overall loved this spot and we will return!
My second stay here. absolutely value for money and a great location especially if you’re skiing from the Nevada side of Heavenly! Apartment was nice and roomy.
