A very good budget hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Good value for money, especially the breakfast.

The place is amazing in the lovely heart of Bayonne.

Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable.
Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable. There are loads of nice restaurants and the people are very friendly. There are also a lot of nice little shops, and the market Saturday morning is lovely. You can walk everywhere, but there are also little buses you can ride for free. The rivers in the center are impressive and beautiful, and you can stay looking at the water for hours, especially when the tide water comes up and goes down.
We also took a lunch and afternoon trip to Guéthary (that a server at a bar recommended us), a tiny little town by the sea. Beautiful and really nice food.

Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque.
Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque. Great restaurants, and handy for the road south into Spain. BUT: parking is an issue. If you are staying in the centre, the station car park costs upwards of €14. If you like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner... otherwise it's a taxi at similar cost.

Very beautiful, authentic and preserved medieval town in the Basque Country of France. The downtown area is small and bisected by a river, it doesn't get much prettier than that. The food scene is fantastic, with plenty of Basque and French options - I'd recommend Les Tontons Flingueurs, and PATXAMAMA. Also, try the chocolates there, they are amazing! (L'Atelier du Chocolat, Chocolaterie Puyodebat). The ritzy beaches and charming old town of Biarritz are just a 15-minute drive away.

The atmosphere around city helped to make a very enjoyable stay ,both sightseeing and visiting bars and restaurants. A bus/tram has improved greatly link between Bayonne and Biarritz allowing visitors to spend time on beaches without actually staying there.

We only stopped during a trip from Northern France to Portugal. We didn't see any of Bayonne. We chose the hotel as it was just off the motorway and good for quick access back on the motorway the next morning.
From the warm welcome to a wonderful breakfast with a spectacular view of the Adour River and Bayonne' Old city, the Peniche Djebelle provided us with
a magical stay. Perfect for a romantic getaway. It was within easy walking distance of good restaurants and the major points of interest. Being right on the water was amazing. It was definitely great value for the price.
Bed was exceptionally comfortable and the hotel was very quiet.
Excellent parking in a secure area for €9 per night, free on the road outside if you can get a, space
Breakfast is exceptional and good value with both hot and cold buffet for about €10 per person.
15minute walk to main town area along the river and over the bridge.
the staff was really friendly. the bathroom is better than at the other ibis budget hotels, and also if you are traveling with a third person there is a bed that you can use while dragging it down, and it allows you to sleep like Bosnian Kebabi.
there are plenty of usb source power outlets where you can charge your phone.
The location to the train station was perfect.
It seemed little a narrow hotel but clean. From the front desk to the cleaning staff- all were friendly.
The breakfast space was nice with large windows overlooking the street.
From the hotel the walk into to old market is short and there are so many shops to pop into.
The location of the hotel was great - very calm, central, next to the city parking (although difficult to find spaces). We got two rooms apartment instead of one, probably due to availability since we booked last minute. Nice, simple continental breakfast with fresh delicious bread. Everything was working well
Maybe the hotel benefits from being in Bayonne, a wonderful city and people. Particularly for anyone arriving by train location perfect across road from station. Cathedral and centre just few minutes walk across river. Staff in hotel friendly and helpful, all in all excellent..
The room was wonderful as was the food at the hotel, and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Bayonne was a real find and the hotel was positioned perfectly for access to the main shopping districts within the city. I would certainly like to visit again.
Location was great, quiet, residential, and a few short blocks to Bayonne center. It was extremely clean and well decorated and maintained. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice shower. Private parking in small lot one block away!
This wasn't our first visit here, and our time at the hotel was as we expected. Everything was to our satisfaction. We were happy with the room, breakfast was excellent, and were very friendly and helpful
Well located hotel when you have a car (the parking is free). Close to a bus stop. The breakfast is good. The room is ok and the staff very nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel.
Very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Slept very well. Possibly our toddler’s best sleep in France. Owner was very friendly, responsive and explained everything well.
Staff was very helpful and stored our backpacks when we arrived early. Location was excellent, close to everything to explore oldtown Bayonne, but quiet.
