Nothing corporate or institutional about this place; on the contrary, it's just dripping with character and whimsy. Don't miss the lobby bar, cafe, or especially El Quijote, as these are all exceedingly beautiful and luxurious. The staff are largely friendly and accommodating, and the building is well located (a straight 10min walk from Penn Station, close to Greenwich Village, etc.). Pretty crazy that a hotel could tempt me away from exploring Manhattan. I never wanted to leave, and can't wait to return.

Its one of the last high building from upper Manhattan so we have had lower Manhattan fully in front of us. rooms are relatively small but very nicely designed. Perfectly clean.

I stayed at a hotel in New York City for the second time and once again, I loved it. The location is perfect with many restaurants nearby serving delicious breakfasts, the staff is polite, and the rooms are comfortable.
