It was great. Very clean, helpful staff, all the amenities you would like for your stay. Especially the location. It is located IN the park, about 20 minutes from the entrance. You have to pay the park fee (50,000 COP entrance + 6,000 COP insurance per day you are staying overnight) but then you are in the park and don’t have to worry about paying again, queuing up for tickets, etc.

Dinner was the highlight, everything we tried was between good and excellent. Cheap bottles of wine. Staff was friendly, but was a little awkward sometimes dealing with them. The breakfast and dinner is very delicious and fresh. All the staff was very kind and helpful and gave good recommendations. With only a short walk you can reach two nice beaches (not always good for swimming) and a beautiful place at the river. Also the national park is easy to reach.

All were tasty and very filling, and also had healthy options. The hostel had a nice social vibe and the communal dinners encouraged us to chat to other guests which was nice. They were incredibly kind and allowed us to use their facilities after we’d checked out so we were able to shower after visiting Tayrona before our flight.

A little tough to adjust to sleeping in the open so keep that in mind when booking. Family dinners were amazing. Pool sunsets with happy hour was so fun. Good music playing, not too loud. Perfect place to stay. Mini mart right next door. 20 min walk to Tayrona National park entrance.
