You can stay at different kinds of accommodation while travelling - all from hostels to luxurious hotels. And then there is Djorff which will excel most of them, no matter what they offer! The design makes you think of Tales from the Arabian Nights - especially if you will be lucky enough to stay there during full moon. The decor is unique for each room which makes the experience one of a kind. What is important is that the way it is built does not allow the rooms to warm up. They are naturally cool which is a blessing in the scorching heat. Get a refreshing dip in the pool and don't forget to dine at the adjacent restaurant. The food is exquisite and based on really good recipes, mostly from the Middle East. As Djorff is set on the west bank, you are not far from Luxor (thanks to the boat which will carry you over the Nile) but far enough to let you escape the city noise. Staff are lovely na do their best to make you feel as comfortable as possible. And then there is Marina - the charismatic owner who has all the answers about your stay in Luxor. Marina will help you organise your day, get you a driver and - if she has some time and you're willing to listen - she will share one or two remarkable stories from her life. Staying there made me feel somehwat as if I was part of a 1940s-1950s novel or movie. I extended my stay and I am very happy I did so. People sometimes say they are coming back out of politeness but I AM definitely coming back!

The staff are very attentive and always there for you. They organize good excursions for little money. Special mention should be made of the fact that every extra request is catered for. I can really recommend this hotel

Luxor Old Nile Hotel features a restaurant, bar, a garden and private beach area in Luxor. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service, free WiFi and parking space. Very relaxing place to stay. Quiet but not far from everything. Staff were very helpful and went out of way to make very comfortable . Would definitely stay here if in Luxor again. Meals were delicious and very filling.

يقع Nour El Balad بجوار معبد مدينة هابو مباشرة في مدينة الأقصر. وتتوفر خدمة الواي فاي المجانية. ويحتوي على منازل من طوب الطين مع غرف مريحة تقليدية والتي تقع وسط بستان من النخيل. It’s like visiting a family, warm welcome, relaxed vibe and extremely helpful owners. We received all the possible help and felt cared about. It also felt like being an explorer staying in a very authentic Egyptian house. The room was very specious and the home made breakfast was lovely. The owner is a heartwarming person who has a wide network and is able to organize everything in Luxor (taxi, hot air ballon, and I’m sure the list doesn’t end here). It’s also very important to highlight that the location is very quiet, we managed to get a rest from noisy Egyptian streets and slept like newborns. Strongly recommend!

Staff are very helpful and friendly and even though committed 24/7, they all provide a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Free transfer by boat between the hotel and downtown Luxor is available around the clock upon call. The little restaurant offers a variety of tasty homemade food — a great breakfast, snacks for lunch and a diverse selection of dishes for dinner. All meals combine elements of the Egyptian and Western cuisine. Drinks (water, soft drinks, beer and a small selection of Egyptian wines) are also available, a specialty is the Turkish style coffee. The hotel offers a small pool perfectly suitable for a quick refreshment. Upon request, bicycles are available for rent, and the famous sights of the area (valley of the kings, valley of the queens, Hatshepsut temple - each approximately 8 km away one way) can be explored easily by bicycle! I lived for four years in Egypt, but this hotel was by far the nicest I ever had!
