This family-run Lake District accommodation has an indoor swimming pool, picturesque gardens and free parking. Free WiFi is available in the downstairs public areas and the bedrooms. This hotel is beautiful and nicely positioned overlooking Windermere. The lounge, terrasse and dining room are all well appointed and elegant. The meals are good and the breakfast was particularly delicious. The staff are all friendly and helpful, taking time to assist with whatever you need to know. Our bedroom, although slightly smaller than I expected, was comfortable, clean and had a lovely view.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. My two daughters and I stayed in one of the family rooms for two nights during a visit to the Lake District and we all were very impressed with Ravenstone Manor. The food was amazing, the location near hiking trails was perfect and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Reception was on point…we had loads of luggage…polish team member was lovely…as was the assisting reception lad and the doorman too….we made a bit of a spectacle when we arrived…lol The view was amazing from our room and we also had drinks before we retired to bed in the bar/lounge area.,the view there was also superb.
