The location was good for travelling the ring road. Our room was perfect; comfortable, warm and clean. The owner was really kind, gave us tips for getting around. Also the breakfast was really great. Would recommend for sure.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. Really nice hotel situated in a quiet place in the South East of Iceland close to the Jökulsárlón ice lake and diamond beach and the mulagljufur canyon. Great choice of food for breakfast, coffee always available at the entrance. Bedroom clean and spacious with TV.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great value for money! We stayed at their chalet which was pretty cosy. Arnor the owner was very friendly, showing us the facilities and gave useful tips for travelling. They have jacuzzi and sauna at extra cost, we used both facilities and it was very relaxing enjoying the jacuzzi while watching the snow falling. Breakfast was included and they were nice. Check out was smooth. Highly recommended.

The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. Excellent breakfast and service! With amazing views and 20min Walking from the glacier. The receptionist was very helpful and amazing too!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Everything went very well. The check-in was smooth, the room was big and clean, the breakfast had good variety. The staff at the restaurant was extremely friendly - they even improvised with a candle for my birthday dessert (thank you for that). The hotel is outside of the town, which we knew from other reviews, so we checked in, went to the city for a short walk and then came back to the hotel for the dinner.
