This hotel is in Øystese Village, on the shore of the Hardangerfjord. It offers a restaurant and for additional cost pool and sauna access. All rooms have a flat-screen TV and some feature a balcony. The view from the hotel was spectacular. It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.

Located in a late 19th century Art Noveau-style building overlooking the Måbø Valley, Fossli Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms. Vøringsfossen Waterfall is next to the hotel. Stay at the Fossli felt like being "inside a novel". Needless to say, the view is fantastic (and you get the Voringsfossen waterfalls all for yourself in the evening, after the tourist buses stop flowing by), the staff is super kind, and the dinner was a very good surprise too! Maybe we were lucky but our room was also pretty large and very comfy.

Hardanger House has free bikes, fitness center, a garden and terrace in Jondal. Offering a restaurant, the property also features a bar, as well as a sauna. Hardanger House is an exceptional place. Everything was extraordinary, great attention to details. The food was the best that I've ever had in Norway! They have an excellent chef, great wine and whiskey choices. Friendly and genuinely sincere staff. Top notch, HIGHLY recommended.
