As the world’s largest diamond-cutting city, Antwerp (Anvers in French) is naturally affluent. It comes as no surprise then that fashion is also of utmost importance, so the shopping here is excellent. It may not be the cheapest place, but the quality certainly matches the price.
Another big business in Antwerp is the port, one of Europe’s largest. Take a cruise around to admire its scale. The Scheldt River leads from the port into the city, and on its banks are a handful of interesting museums and Het Steen, a medieval castle built to protect the city against Viking invasions.
A few streets back is the Grote Markt, a beautiful square flanked by the grand town hall and 16th-century guildhouses – a typically Belgian scene. Behind this is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Antwerp Cathedral, whose asymmetrical towers look down over Groenplaats, a tranquil square filled with pavement cafes. Belgian beer is legendary and the local brew is De Koninck, which packs quite a punch.
In the south of the city is the most unusual sight – Wilrijk’s huge Jain Temple, one of the largest outside India. A little further east is Antwerp Airport, efficiently connected by public transport to the Antwerp hotels, guest houses and apartments that are available on Booking.com.
Antwerp has lots to offer. Museums, interesting neighborhoods, pedestrian streets, and a huge number of restaurants/bars/cafes.
Take the walking/cycling tunnel under the river - great experience and a lovely walk along the left bank.
If you are in Antwerp on Saturday or Sunday, I highly recommend the Handelsbeurs - stunning architecture and interesting history.

If you're flying into Antwerp, I highly recommend paying a visit to a restaurant located approximately a 15-minute walk from the airport called "Jardin Public". From there, you can catch a tram to the Central Station. In my opinion, the highlights of the trip were definitely the Central Station and the Central Square.
Getting around Antwerp is fairly easy, but you also have the option to rent bicycles or use electric scooters. For dinner, we opted for The Eleventh Commandment / Elfde Gebod and were impressed by the delicious food and speedy service.
I would have loved to extend my stay if possible; perhaps a minimum of a 3-day trip would be ideal. On the return journey to the airport, I opted to take an Uber for convenience.

The museum and the cathedrals were magnificent.
The museum and the cathedrals were magnificent. The restaurants were excellent and there is a wide variety of different ethnic restaurants to choose from. The restaurants ranged in price from very reasonable priced to some excellent but expensive restaurants.
Location was close to Antwerpen-Berchem station for going to Tomorrowland which was nice; easy to scooter back and from either Antwerpen-Berchem or Antwerpen-Centraal. Bed was pretty comfortable, there was a light, usable plug, and a shelf where I could put some of my belongings while I slept. There was one bathroom for eight girls but we managed not to overlap, and the shower, bathroom, and sink were separated so that we could each use whatever facility as needed. Wifi had no passcode, doors were easily opened with a key card.
Second time we stayed in this hotel for s short 2-day City trip to Antwerp. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the central train station. This means it is a bit of a walk (ca. 10-20 minutes) to the old Town center where all the tourist attractions are. However, we appreciate that this hotel is clean and comfortable and the price is not more expensive than other hotels. It is basically a 'safe choice' for traveller's who just don't want any negative surprises and want a clean room and no fuzz.
The accomodation was clean and comfortable. I arrived in Antwerp during the evening by train, so when I realized the hotel is located literaly next to the train station, I was very pleased. The receptionist who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and friendly and gave me a bigger room than the one I booked, so that was a pleasant surprise. The Wi-Fi worked well, my room was cleaned with fresh towels every day, so everything was great! Thank you and see you again!
We stayed here during the Tomorrowland weekend so having a hotel with easy access to the train, food and shipping was a priority, B&B meet all the conditions.
Short 5 min walk from Antwerp central train station.
Shopping street was right around the corner.
All types of cuisines within walking distance.
Old.town of Antwerp was a brief 15 min walk.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit Antwerp.
Great location with easy access to Antwerp center on foot and to other areas by tram. Nice vibe and amenities in lobby, including umbrellas for guest use, wine and snacks in the afternoon/evening, and luggage storage. Rooms are very small and very basic, like a stripped down version of a boutique hotel. Not a luxe place to stay, but clean, comfortable, and convenient. I would stay there again.
The decor was beautiful and the architecture was so interesting. The owners were so friendly and helpful, giving us pointers about Antwerp and making reservations for us. The breakfast was so generous, delicious and elegant. The property is located out of the tourist area and in an area where you can see local life, yet it was a short walk to Antwerp Centraal train station.
I highly recommend this hotel. Very well located. A true gem in the decor. Some people resists the uniformity we can find in today’s accommodation. Hotel Fin de siècle. Art Nouveau charm. Owner and manager were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also excellent. I will come back when in Antwerpen.
This hotel has a great location, so close to the Antwerp's main railway station. We had a beautiful view of the entire Koningin Astrid Plein.
From there you can easily reach every place in the city center by foot. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast delicious.
The room was gorgeous, very unique! The owners are friendly and attentive and provided suggestions and information.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the central train station, and walking distance to museums, etc.
I hope to stay there again the next time I am in Antwerp!
Location is ideal, just 3 minutes from Antwerp Central station. Hotel felt safe and secure in this busy area. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast room was comfortable and tablesc spaced well.
I loved the thick fluffy towels and excellent bath soap and shampoo and cream.
Fairly good breakfast. Great location - just across the railway station - very convenient if one plans to visit nearby places traveling by train. Antwerp is just 40 mins from Brussels, around 1 h from Ghent. Public parking nearby with a discount rate for hotel guests.
located close to Antwerp Centraal station and not far from the Grotte Markt and the sights of Antwerp. Very good, clean and new 3 star hotel. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. No in-room safe. Good location. Breakfast is not bad but doesn't change.
The rooms were simple, yet very modern looking. The rooms consisted of all the ammenities for a great stay.
The check-in time for the hotel normally is at 3, however the staff gladly helped me at 1:30 after my arrival in Antwerp.
Hotel is located right near the central station, which is great. Beds are comfortable and most rooms have somewhat of a view. Good value if you're just looking for a place to sleep after partying or clubbing in Antwerp.
Very clean hotel. Staff were amazing. They helped us register our car for the climate friendly Antwerp. They gave us extra two hours check out because one of us was sick. Breakfast was delicious. Recommended
location is quite good: not far from the Antwerp Centraal, bus station and historical center. quite place, Italian trattoria is in front of the hotel. rooms are clean and staff is friendly and polite.
