You could also see the Shard. Other hotels charge you for rooms with this view. I know one hotel charges you a few hundred more just to see a view of Big Ben. The hotel is very nice and you are met with a very pleasant smell when you walk into the reception. It’s in a very good location too.

Within a 20/30 minute walk, you can get to Tower bridge, St Paul's Cathedral the modern Tait gallery, the London eye and the houses of Parliament
In this area of London, almost every step you take along the Thames river gives you a feeling for Charles Dickens characters, but you must go by foot get around the back streets and explore. Despite the new high rise buildings there are still many old houses and warehouses that evoke a sense of history. Within a 20/30 minute walk, you can get to Tower bridge, St Paul's Cathedral the modern Tait gallery, the London eye and the houses of Parliament. You won't get bored.
