The development of the area to be a tourist destination is interesting and cute- Few minutes to beach parks and other sites. The packed breakfast (in a little bag on hook outside of room door in the morning) was good to grab and go- I just wish they told us when it was delivered to the outside of our room so we could have known when it was available to take. Free and easy parking. Free drink at check in. Cute pool area. Great view from balcony/room. Road noise didn’t prevent us from hearing ocean sounds. Fridge in the room. Balcony was clean and really appropriate to be clean and sit to be able to enjoy the view. The remaining Japanese houses and rice fields next to the closed awaji castle wall made it so beautiful and a nice view in addition to the ocean. Beds were comfortable- no bath but shower pressure was great-would be back.

Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Awaji Fukura is offering accommodation in Minamiawaji. Featuring a shared lounge, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. My Japanese isn’t the best, but there was a staff member that spoke English, which made it very easy to check in. The facility was spotless, staff friendly, and location perfect.

The staff was incredibly nice and did everything they could to make you happy. The food at the restaurant was superb from the presentation to the quality it was an incredible dining experience.
