Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell. Excellent location, no noise, well kept rooms. Able to get my adult children their own rooms (that we then extended for an extra night) at very short notice.

Excellent, spacious room, new furniture, clean, quiet, good shower. AC was working well. Good selection of programs on TV including major US news channels. Good wifi. Good restaurant at the ground floor, with patio. Generally a quiet, peaceful place to unwind and relax.

Everything about this accommodation is just perfect, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, from the entrance, the lovely little bar, the beautiful large dining area, the outside open lounging area to the very large, very comfortable rooms. We were in an upstairs room, with a very comfortable king size bed, desk area, small table and chairs, gleaming bathroom with lovely bath and shower over plus very comfortable outside private deck with table and chairs looking out to the magnificent view. We dined in the lovely dining room, chose fish and lamb for our mains, both cooked to perfection. We can't speak highly enough of this accommodation and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whangarei.
